World Series Game 1

You just wonder how many people in America actually cared about this game. My company's CEO based in New York scheduled a worldwide teleconference an hour before the first pitch of game 1. I guess given there is no East Coast team in the World Series, you get the feeling half the country doesn't care.



Anyway, ESPN is unable to provide the international feed of the World Series which is a big shame given this is baseball's blue-riband event.

But I can tell you that the Cardinals won 3-2 in front of their adoring fans. It was quite convincing in the field and CJ Wilson was absolutely everywhere. You hope for Texas Rangers fans, he doesn't do what Cliff Lee did last year.

Anyway game 2 begins tomorrow.

Sorry, Rob. Cardinals to take on Rangers in World Series.

Rob Borland's Brewers hosted the Cardinals tonight, looking for a win to keep their World Series hopes alive. However, early in the 3rd inning, the Cardinals scored their 2nd 4 run inning to give them a 9-4 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd. Plenty of time left although it's been raining runs in Milwaukee tonight courtesy of Albert Pujols.

Final score 12-6 to the Cardinals. Another World Series without an East Coast team.

St Louis Cardinals take control of National League series

Rob Borland's dream of seeing the Milwaukee Brewers make the World Series is hanging on a thread with the Cardinals taking a 3-2 lead today. The Cardinals' batting dominated the game even if Albert Pujols didn't get on the score sheet.

Fact: the day the Mariners make the American League Championship series would be awesome.

Baseball - Race for the Pennant

It's baseball playoff season & we're approaching the critical point of the American and National League championship series.

The Detroit Tigers look to level the series with George Bush's Texas Rangers at home. Rain has delayed the game unfortunately till 5:45pm local time.

Later the St Louis Cardinals host the Milwaukee Brewers as they aim to take the lead in the National League series.
