In some huge news in the football world this morning, Fabio Capello has quit as England manager following a meeting with inept FA boss, David Bernstein. Capello was unhappy with the FA's decision earlier in the week to sack John Terry as captain.
Harry Redknapp is now favourite to take over Capello's job in the long run with Under 21 coach Stuart Pearce likely to manage England at EURO2012 this summer. Not great timing although Pearce has had a tremendous record with the under-21s in recent years and we could very well see England go Germany/Spain and bring in heaps of young players to play a brand of exciting, fast football.
To be honest, this might very well be a good thing for England if it pulls off. After all, I have been clamouring for England to mimic Spain and Germany, ditch the oldies who have proven to be failures at international level and bring in some new blood.
I will be posting my 5 point plan if I was England manager shortly. But in the meantime, you can read the full report here from the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16941457
