Joe Hart for England Captaincy?

It looks like Chelsea's captain will no longer be England's captain following an FA meeting in London this morning.

With allegations of racism hanging large over John Terry, the FA have decided to take away the captaincy from John Terry. Those allegations stem from Chelsea's game at QPR earlier this season when Terry was believed to have racially abused Anton Ferdinand.

The reaction to Liverpool star, Luis Suarez's apparent racist remarks against Manchester United tosser, Patrice Evra was huge and it's no surprise that the reaction to the Terry allegations has been just as huge.

Let's not forget that Terry has lost his captaincy before following allegations he slept with the former girlfriend of Wayne Bridge; this was prior to England's disastrous 2010 World Cup.

With the English national team a bit of a joke at the moment and highly unlikely to win EURO 2012, this was really another blow that their reputation could not afford.

The question is, who will be captain now with Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard very much on the way out of the England side?

Joe Hart in my opinion should step up to the mantle. Hart is now easily the Premier League's best keeper and seems to have a good level head on his shoulders. He also has plenty of integrity.

The same can't be said of John Terry sadly.

Furthermore, out of all the England players, Joe Hart is the one who is mostly like to be selected first in any squad; something which John Terry wasn't given the form of Michael Dawson and Joleon Lescott.
