Warnock Sacked From Loftus Road

It is a bit of a shock but not really a surprise.

With Queens Park Rangers having only collected 2 points from 8 games despite spending plenty of AirAsia boss, Tony Fernandes' money in August on players, Neil Warnock was always walking the managerial tightrope in West London.

A shame really as Neil Warnock is good value in the pre/post match press conferences and having been around football long enough has seen and done it all. And one must remember, he guided QPR back into the Premier League for the first time in 15 years - something true Rangers fans will never forget.

Nevertheless, the proof in the pudding that Warnock isn't quite up to Premier League manager class is perhaps clear to see considering his failure (albeit just and it was Carlos Tevez's fault depending on whose side you're on) to keep Sheffield United in the Premier League in 2007.

And just as in Sunderland's case when Steve Bruce was booted once it was clear Martin O'Neill was available, it looks like Warnock has been given his marching orders so that Mark Hughes can cross the road from Craven Cottage to Loftus Road having seen his aspirations for the Aston Villa job disappear earlier in the season.

If Hughes does end up at Loftus Road, I think QPR should stay up - just.
