After much anticipation, New Zealand's tour of Australia will kick start proper with the 1st test at the Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday. In fact there has never been more anticipation and optimism amongst the New Zealand ranks with the hosts missing key players for this test like Cummins, Johnson, Watson & Harris due to injury.

And rumour has it that the pitch will be fast and bouncy but may not offer too much for the bowlers. So we could see plenty of runs - something that the New Zealanders appear capable of scoring if their showing against Australia A was anything to go by. In fact that was probably the New Zealanders' best performance in a warm-up game in Australia yet!
So the squads for the 1st test are:
Australia - Michael Clarke (captain), Brad Haddin, Ben Cutting, Phil Hughes, Michael Hussey, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Ricky Ponting, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, David Warner
New Zealand - Ross Taylor (captain), Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum, Kane Williamson, Jesse Ryder, Dean Brownlie, BJ Watling, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell, Chris Martin, Daniel Vettori, Reece Young.
