The Plunket Shield is back for the season with all provinces in action today across the country.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to hear the likes of Allen McLoughlin, Ron Snowden, Steve Davie & Brian Waddle on the radiowaves commentating from Alexandra or Whangarei or Rangiora this season.
Radio Sport has decided it's too expensive to send a commentator to cover each Plunket Shield game as it has done since Radio Sport begun - in layman's terms they say that no one in New Zealand cares about the domestic game anymore which may be partly true.
Anyway if you want to hear Ron Snowden's "he bowls... short and wide!",
