Chiefs v Broncos - Who Will Win?

It's the battle for supremacy in the West. But while the Broncos (8-1) were expected to be on one side of the ring, few would have tipped the Kansas City Chiefs, 2-14 last season, to be on the other side of the ring, let alone the only unbeaten team left in the NFL with a 9-0 record.

There is no doubt that these two sides have led the way in the AFC side of the NFL with the Broncos leading the league in offense and points scored while the Chiefs lead the league in defence and turnovers - they're a force in the red zone, up front and in the secondary.

Much has been said about the Broncos this season and Peyton Manning has done what everyone expected him to do - lead the league in yardage and completions. However, there are some question marks over his fitness going into this game and how that will affect his passing game particularly against this secondary that has been producing turnovers like oil in Texas.

Jack and Peyton
Any question marks that the Broncos will struggle without John Fox who is recovering from surgery have been extinguished with Jack del Rio leading the reins well in the interim - to the point that USC are after the former Jaguars head coach.

The only surprise with the Broncos this season has been the fact that they have not been running away with the division as a result of the shock rise of the team they face on Sunday night.

Jamaal Charles is back!

That team, the Kansas City Chiefs has been revived by Andy Reid who once again is showing his talent in leading a franchise.

Reid has always been a good coach and his success at the Eagles was testament to his ability to get the best out of Donovan McNabb and co, i.e. en route to a Super Bowl meet with the Patriots in 2005.

The Eagles cheered Andy Reid out despite the success he brought to Lincoln Financial Field
However, it was clear that as time wore on, the notoriously tough Eagles fans wanted Reid out and after several forlorn seasons, Reid packed his bags and headed west to the Chiefs where he has found his niche.

At 9-0, the Chiefs are well set for playoff football and a win in Denver will very much strengthen their claims as contenders. A defeat won't be the end of the world, particularly as these two face off again in two weeks time at Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs will back themselves to get a win against the Broncos.

Andy Reid has found redemption and new life in the West
The West have been on the rise for the last two seasons thanks to the Seahawks, Broncos and 49ers but who would have thought the Chiefs would be leading the way too?

TIP: Broncos to win by 3.
