Julian Savea Doubtful for All Blacks - Who Should Replace Him?
All Blacks super winger, Julian Savea is doubtful for the All Blacks for this Saturday's test match at Paris against Les Bleus.
Savea has been ill since arriving in France from Japan and Steve Hansen has decided not to risk the big winger's health given the depth at wing at this time.
It means that Charles Piutau could start his second test in a row for the All Blacks albeit at his so-far usual position of wing.
Piutau was electric against Japan last week, easily the All Blacks' best player and probably was set to feature again this weekend against France as reward for his man of the match performance on one wing.
Frank Halai is possibly the other option - his debut was solid if unspectacular, earning one try, while Cory Jane could be fast-tracked to a starting position just weeks after returning from injury.
Nevertheless, without Savea, the ABs should still be a very formidable challenge for the French and the game is expected to be played mostly in the forwards initially - good time for Kieran Read and Liam Messam to come back into the side.
