After years, months, weeks of anticipation, the 2014 World Cup is now only days away from kickoff. Considering the teams and players, it should be another memorable tournament.
But will it be considered one of the best? That will be down to the notoriously subjective taste of football fans.
Here in my opinion are 3 of the best World Cups ever held.
Switzerland 1954
The one with the most goals and that upset. Yes, we're not likely to see another World Cup with a 7-5 scoreline in the quarterfinals and a massive upset in the Final - it is massive when you consider that the underdog was thrashed 8-3 by the same team earlier in the tournament. There probably won't be a World Cup like it.
Mexico 1970
The first ever World Cup shown on colour TV and on the back of a colourful Brazil team, boy did it deliver. It was the first real modern World Cup but it wasn't just all about Pele's free-scoring and flowing Brazil - West Germany featured in two classic matches, including a wonderful semifinal with Italy which they heroically lost.
France 1998
Possibly the best World Cup knockout stage of the last 20 years - England v Argentina, Argentina v Netherlands, Brazil v Denmark were absolute classics. There were some absolutely cracking goals too and the tournament was lit up by the upsets of the likes of Spain and Germany. The Final itself was memorable for the right and wrong reasons with a thumping win to the home nation over a beleaguered and lethargic Brazil.
