2014 World Cup Preview - Best World Cup XI (I've Seen!)

It's so easy to pick a greatest ever World Cup XI but many probably were not old enough to remember watching the likes of Pele, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona or even Zinedine Zidane in their prime.

Therefore, it's often credible to pick a team based on who you've seen with your own eyes on the tele or if you're lucky enough, on the football field.

Here's mine (3-2-3-2) -

Goalkeeper -
Iker Casillas, Spain

Defenders -
Fabio Cannavaro, Italy
Carlos Puyol, Spain
Lillian Thuram, France

Central Midfielders -
Xavi, Spain
Andrea Pirlo, Italy

Attacking Midfielders -
Andres Iniesta, Spain
Zinedine Zidane, France
Lionel Messi, Argentina

Forward -
Ronaldo, Brazil
Miroslav Klose, Germany
