The Tour de France witnessed a frenetic finish to the line in the picturesque seaside town of Saint-Malo with Marcel Kittel beating compatriot Andre Greipel and fast man Mark Cavendish to the line. Cavendish was involved in a crash in the last sprint to the line - he appeared to nudge Tom Veelers off his bike as he began his push for the stage win.
Chris Froome finished in the peloton thanks to the efforts of teammate, Ian Stannard, meaning he retains the yellow jersey.
Jack Bauer suffered a puncture early on in the tour but recovered to finish in the peloton in 38th. He remains 166th overall.
Tomorrow, the Tour de France travels from Brittany into Normandy with the first individual time trial from Avranches to Mont-St-Michel. This should be a beauty from a tourist's point of view.
