Bauer Watch -TdF Day 15

Chris Froome underlined his status as Tour de France winner in the very near future with a commanding win on top of Mont-Ventoux.

He pushed rising Colombian star, Nairo Quintana near the top before overtaking him to romp home and regain the 1'40" he lost to Contador on the way to Tours two days ago.

With a week to go in Le Tour, only disaster will stop a second consecutive British win in France's grand race.

Jack Bauer consolidated his position as top Kiwi, finishing 31 minutes behind Froome - very respectable performance on one of the world's most legendary & difficult climbs. Ventoux must have felt like doing Takaka Hill till kingdom come.

The cyclists get a deserved break tomorrow before they hit the Alps and the home straight to Paris.
