Tony Martin won today's scenic individual time trial from Avranches to Mont St Michel on France's Normandy coast, but the big winner today was Chris Froome as he extended his lead on top of the overall classification to 3 minutes over nearest rival Alejandro Valverde, after finishing 2nd to Tony Martin.
His closest rivals like Alberto Contador appear to have conceded the overall Tour victory, gunning now for podium spots.
Jack Bauer finished a respectable 48th, 3 minutes 17 seconds behind Tony Martin on the stage, moving up to 164th in the overall classification.
