Bauer Watch: Tour de France Day 2

Radioshack's Jan Bakelants has taken the yellow jersey after winning today's 2nd stage in the Corsica mountains.

The 27-year-old Belgian who like Jack Bauer is making his Tour de France debut broke away in a pack involving Slovak Peter Sagan and held off the irresistible Sagan - and an errant fluffy white dog - to take his first ever stage win.

Jack and his Garmin teammates worked to get Scottish veteran David Millar into the yellow jersey. In the end, they just missed out but Millar is now 2nd, 1 second behind Bakelants in the general classification after today's results.

As for Jack, he finished in the peloton 17 minutes behind the race winner and is now classified 181st overall 17 minutes 35 secs behind Bakelants.

Stay tuned for more Jack updates!
