Julian Savea Re-Signs with the Hurricanes

In a boost for Mark Hammett and the Hurricanes, Julian Savea has turned down big money offers from the Chiefs and Crusaders to stay in Wellington and the Hurricanes for a further two years.

Julian Savea cited family - he has a young daughter - as the reason he is staying in the capital rather than work with Dave Rennie or Dan Carter to further his career as initially thought.

Julian Savea hasn't quite had the season he had as last - with a district court hearing for an assault charge disrupting his Super Rugby season. For the All Blacks, he has been shadowed somewhat by Ben Smith in the try scoring stakes.

Nevertheless, this is one thing off Savea's mind and hopefully we can see the best of him before the end of the season. It also means that with Cory Jane back, the Canes once again have two All Blacks on their wings and could improve on their disappointing finish to the Super Rugby season just completed.

It also means that the Savea brothers will still be putting out their best shows in yellow until after 2015 at the very least, and perhaps Julian could help brother, Ardie into the All Blacks while he is still there.

Oh well, at least one show is in Wellington, I wish they could also have the one with a really fast boat.
