Steve Hansen New All Blacks Coach

In the most unsurprising news announcement of the year, former All Blacks assistant coach, Steve Hansen has been named the new head coach of the All Blacks.

The die-hard, hard-nosed Cantab was a shoe-in to replace his mentor, Graham Henry following Henry's decision to step down following the Rugby World Cup victory in October.

Yes, nice guy as he is, Vern Cotter must have had too much vino rouge when he decided to apply for the All Blacks coaching job despite having only coached Bay of Plenty and Clermont Auvergne.

So 2012 will see pretty much, much of the same - good for the ABs.
