Paul Lambert Future Spurs Manager?

Tottenham fans might not have known it as they should have been too busy booing the team at the final whistle of their 2-1 home defeat to new Premier League upstarts, Norwich City.

However, one wonders if Harry Redknapp's replacement might have been the man on the other side of the touchline at White Hart Lane?

After all, Tottenham have slid from title challengers to struggling to hold onto a top 4 spot since Harry Redknapp was exonerated of corruption charges and linked with the vacant England manager's role.

'Arry might as well take the damn England job I reckon now that Spurs can't win the Premier League title and appears to have taken this side as far as it can go. With his age as well, Tottenham may want to consider a younger manager who could be at the club for the long term, i.e. Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Lambert, 1997 Champs League final
In Paul Lambert, Tottenham have a manager who has shown he can mix it with the best having taken Norwich City through two consecutive promotions from the third tier of English football - let's not forget it all started when Lambert's Colchester thrashed Norwich 6-1 at Carrow Road and thereafter, Lambert was hired as Norwich manager.

Lambert also has European experience and knows what is required to excel at the highest level having won the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund and made the UEFA Cup Final with Celtic in 2003.

Will Delia be able to keep her maestro manager?
Lambert might think that he may have achieved all he can with Norwich City too. No offence to the Canaries but they are small fish compared to the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United and are unlikely to sustain the success they've had this season in the long run. If the job offer was right and it could be right now at White Hart Lane, Lambert will probably jump ship.

And of course, he's Scottish.. and not just any Scot, a Glaswegian. I thought all Glaswegians made good managers in English football?

So here's a tip - Harry Redknapp to become caretaker manager of England at EURO 2012 and then permanent manager thereafter, Paul Lambert to take over from Harry.
