The Warriors have ended their decade-long hoodoo in Townsville, just about holding off the North Queensland Cowboys for their first win there in yonks.
The Warriors leapt out to a 20-6 lead halfway through the 2nd half but the Cowboys led by Johnathan Thurston as expected, rallied home to close the gap to 20-16 and denied victory as two tries were chopped by the TMO.
The Warriors may have been lucky but luck is what you need in an NRL season and it was about time the Warriors had some luck in Townsville.
