FIFA World XI for 2013!
FIFA released its shortlist for the Ballon d'Or yesterday with Gareth Bale named alongside Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Frank Ribery, etc.
Who would make your team of the year?
Here's mine (formation 4-2-3-1)
GK - Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich (Germany) - Best keeper in the world right now
LB - Marcelo, Real Madrid (Brazil) - Superb heir to Roberto Carlos at Real Madrid
CB - Thiago Silva, Paris St Germain (Brazil) - Defies the tradition that Brazilians don't make good defenders
CB - Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid (Spain) - Best centre back in the world
RB - Philipp Lahm, Bayern Munich (Germany) - Best right back in the world
CM - Yaya Toure, Manchester City (Cote d'Ivoire) - Best midfielder in the Premier League right now
CM - Mesut Ozil, Arsenal (Germany) - Masterclass passer
LW/RW - Gareth Bale, Tottenham Hotspur (Wales) - Left or right side, Bale was unbelievable at Spurs
FW - Lionel Messi, Barcelona (Argentina) - Nuff said
LW/RW - Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid (Portugal) - See Bale but switch Spurs for Real
ST - Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paris St Germain (Sweden) - Best striker in the world right now
