In news just in, it is reported that Manchester United starlet, Adnan Januzaj has chosen England as the nation he would like to play international football for and has pleaded the FA to consider its residency rule - at this stage Januzaj can only play for England in 5 years time.
Januzaj, whose parents moved to Belgium where he was born, from war-torn Kosovo, is technically eligible to play international football for 6 countries including Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Belgium and apparently England.
He probably won't be eligible to play for England at this World Cup but with Greg Dyke's ambition of winning the World Cup in 2022, getting Januzaj to don the Three Lions could be a key in getting there and the FA may very well go through hell and heaven and back just to get Januzaj to play for England.
With England through to the 2014 World Cup, it's now time for Roy Hodgson to ponder and plan his team to challenge for the World Cup.
While Greg Dyke has ruled out England winning the World Cup, depending on what group they're in, they should be very much thereabouts.
So which 23 should travel to Brazil to represent the Three Lions next summer?
Assuming no injuries, here's my tip (starters in bold)
Goalkeepers - Joe Hart, John Ruddy, Fraser Forster
Defenders - Ashley Cole, Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Phil Jagielka, Kyle Walker, Kieran Gibbs
Midfielders - Andros Townsend, Ross Barkley, Michael Carrick, Steven Gerrard (captain), Frank Lampard, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Raheem Sterling
Forwards - Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck
